     Reid's Sheds specializes in quality garden sheds designed to not only complement your home but to also add value to your property. You can choose from a selection of basic sheds or you can design a custom shed to suit more specific needs.

    At Reid's Sheds our basic shed is built to last with sturdy exterior rated products. We begin with a strong foundation of preservative treated Southern Yellow pine floor joists (never 2x4's) resting on cement blocks. Solid bridging every four feet ensures that there are no unsupported plywood edges. Our typical floor covering is 5/8" CDX exterior plywood (3/4" preservative treated plywood is available as an option). Walls are constructed of 2x4's with double top plates and sheathed with 5/8" T1-11 Yellow Pine siding. We hand nail (not gun nail) the siding for a smooth professional look.

    Then we install hand cut rafters with a ridge pole and collar ties for the roof (never homemade trusses). We sheath our roofs with 1/2" CDX plywood (not oriented strand board or particle board) and cover them with #15 felt and architechtural shingles for a long lasting and sturdy roof.

    We then trim each shed with 1x4 and paint it to match your home. Five foot wide double doors are installed with galvanized hardware. Finally each shed is anchored to the ground to resist wind with an anchoring system that is nearly invisible from the outside.

    Our basic shed is a good value and a high quality product, not a stripped down version. We have built hundreds of this type shed in the Southport, Oak Island, Boiling Springs Lakes area since 1997.

    Reid's Sheds also now offers high quality cart racks to secure your trash cans from the strong beach winds. Our cart racks are built with the highest quality materials to ensure a long life of the product and a worry free owner experience.
